One of the services provided by the firm is consultation on political engineering of particular
projects. For example, Mr. Bond was intimately involved in the negotiation and political handling of a resort casino
project in the Massachusetts Town of Middleborough. Mr. Bond was involved in the politics of this project as both a
Selectman of the Town and as a negotiator of the ultimate intergovernmental agreement. Mr. Bond was the point man on
the project, dealing with the press, and the presentations to the Town citizenry.
Mr. Bond also was the
primary spokesman regarding the details of the project, which faced fairly stiff opposition from various anti-casino groups.
Nevertheless, at one of the largest Town Meetings in New England's history, Middleborough citizens voted to accept
the intergovernmental agreement with the Town.
This project required extensive concensus building and strategic
thinking in relation to each of the Town's citizen groups, various Town Boards and Departments, the Wampanoag tribal leadership,
the casino resort developers and backers, various counsel, the press from several states, government officials from abutting
Towns, the State government, and various opposition groups. This was a complex project (which is ongoing), and, at least,
the first stages have been successfully completed.
Mr. Bond also has worked on several campaigns, debates, and
platforms for candidates for office. He also has provided consultation on issue specific political engineering.
